Meet Our Physician Anesthesiologists
Avishai Neuman, MD, FASA
CEO/Medical Director
Dr. Neuman has served as Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director of Centurion Anesthesia since 2010 and is an attending anesthesiologist at New York Hospital Queens. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in 2006.
Shanon Kleinman, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Kleinman served as Clinical Director for Centurion Anesthesia from 2014 through January 2026 and was recently appointed Chief Medical Officer. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tel Aviv University in 2006 and has worked as an anesthesiologist and Division Director of General Anesthesia at Newark Beth Israel Hospital.
Babak Balakaneh, DO
Clinical Director
Dr. Balakhaneh is a Clinical Director with Centurion and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Care, and Pain Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 2012.
Siraj Bhadsalve, MD
Site Director
With a Doctor of Medicine degree from Albany Medical College, Dr. Bhadsavle is an anesthesiologist affiliated with NYU Langone Hospital. He specializes in pediatric anesthesia.
Vedan Djesevic, MD
Site Director
Dr. Djesevic received his MD from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in 2005 and completed anesthesiology training at Stony Brook University Hospital. He then spent a decade providing anesthesia care across all surgical specialties at Huntington Hospital (Northwell Health). In 2019, he was appointed Chief of Anesthesiology Services at Empire State Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Dov Ginsburg, MD
Site Director
Dr. Ginsburg holds both Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. He serves as Director of Anesthesiology for All City Family Health Care Corp. and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Ginsburg has been an anesthesiologist and Centurion Site Director since 2017.
Tal Levy, MD
Site Director
Dr. Tal Levy has served as a Centurion Site Director since 2018. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2005 from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Levy has also held academic appointments in anesthesiology, including roles as an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine, Weill Cornell Medicine, and NYU Langone Health.
Menachem Walfish, MD
Site Director
Menachem Walfish, M.D. is the Centurion Anesthesia Site Director at NYU Brooklyn Endoscopy and Ambulatory Surgery Center, a role he has held for more than 10 years. He earned his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at SUNY Downstate Department of Anesthesiology. During residency, he received a teaching award in his final year while serving as Chief Resident.
Prior to joining Centurion’s ambulatory and office-based anesthesia division, Dr. Walfish served as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at SUNY and as Director of Obstetrical Anesthesia at Long Island College Hospital. He currently oversees more than 7,500 anesthetics annually and manages perioperative care across a broad range of specialties, including endoscopy, orthopedics, podiatry, urology, gynecology, and pain management.
Sunjoo Lee, DO
Site Director
Sunjoo Lee, DO is a Site Director and also serves as Chair of Anesthesiology at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, NJ. She supports staffing and administrative operations at Integrated and Atlantis Ambulatory Surgery Centers in New Jersey and brings 20 years of private practice experience, including at Holy Name Hospital.
Dr. Lee earned her DO from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (1999), completed a surgical internship at Henry Ford Hospital, and trained in anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate. During residency, she was selected as Team Captain for Trauma Calls and completed the Advanced Clinical Track, focusing on pediatric anesthesia in her final year. She has hired more than 16 anesthesia providers across NJ and NY and leads operational improvements through OR committee work and departmental policy initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her four sons.
