Meet Our Physician Anesthesiologists
Avishai Neuman, MD, FASA
Medical Director
Dr. Neuman has served as Centurion Anesthesia’s medical director since 2010 and is an attending anesthesiologist at New York Hospital of Queens. Dr. Neuman received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in 2006.
Shanon Kleinman, M.D.
Clinical Director
Dr. Kleinman has served as the clinical director for Centurion Anesthesia since 2014. With a 2006 Doctor of Medicine degree from Tel Aviv University, he has worked as an anesthesiologist and division director of general anesthesia at the Newark Beth Israel Hospital.
Babak Balakaneh, MD
Site Director
Dr. Balakhaneh, who is a clinical assistant professor for New York University’s Grossman School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Care, and Pain Medicine. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 2012.
Siraj Bhadsalve, MD
Site Director
With a Doctor of Medicine degree from Albany Medical College, Dr. Bhadsavle is an anesthesiologist affiliated with New York University’s Langone Hospital. Dr. Bhadsavle specializes in pediatric anesthesia.
Vedan Djesevic, MD
Site Director
Dr. Djesevic earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in 2005 and anesthesiology training from Stony Brook University Hospital. After working for 10 years providing anesthesiology services for all surgical specialties at Huntington Hospital of the Northwell Health System, Dr. Djesevic became chief of anesthesiology services for the Empire State Ambulatory Surgery Center in 2019.
Dov Ginsburg, MD
Site Director
With Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine, Dr. Ginsburg is the director of anesthesiology for the All City Family Health Corp. and a clinical assistant professor of anesthesiology at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Ginsburg has been an anesthesiologist and site director for Centurion since 2017.
Tal Levy, MD
Site Director
A Centurion site director since 2018, Dr. Levy received her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2005 from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She has served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Yale School of Medicine, Weill Cornell Medicine, and NYU Langone Health.
Menachem Walfish, MD
Site Director
Menachem Walfish, M.D. is currently the Centurion Anesthesia Site Director at NYU Brooklyn Endoscopy and Ambulatory Surgery Center, where he has been for over 10 years. He graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and did his training in Anesthesiology and Periop Medicine at SUNY Downstate Department of Anesthesiology. During his Anesthesiology training, he was given the teaching award during his final year as Chief Resident. He served as the Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at SUNY as well as Director of Obstetrical Anesthesia at Long Island College Hospital before transitioning to Centurion Ambulatory and Office-based Anesthesia. He currently administers and supervises the performance of over 7,500 anesthetics per year and manages the peri operative course for a variety of procedures including Endoscopy, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Urology, Gynecology and Pain Management.
Sunjoo Lee, DO
Site Director
In addition to Site Director, Sunjoo Lee is also Chairman of Anesthesiology Department at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus NJ. She also assists with staffing and administrative work at Integrated and Atlantis ambulatory surgery centers in NJ. Sunjoo brings 20 years of private practice experience from Holy Name Hospital. She graduated from Michigan State University Osteopathic Medical School in 1999, did her surgical internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI before going to SUNY Downstate for her Residency training in Anesthesiology. She was chosen to be the Team Captain for Trauma Calls and was placed in Advanced Clinical Track where she focused on Pediatric Anesthesia during her last year of training. She currently has hired over 16 anesthesia providers for NJ sites as well as NY. Besides running OR committee meetings and making improvements to various departmental policies and procedures that directly affect Operating Room experience for patients, Sunjoo loves spending time with her 4 sons and traveling the world with them.
